Hockey fans may find getting a great seat at the men's gold-medal game in the 2010 Olympic Winter Games is no easy task.
The Vancouver Organizing Committee said Thursday that of more than 1.6 million tickets for all games that go on sale in October 2008, about 30 per cent are already accounted for.

These tickets will be held for key partners who participate directly in the staging of the Games — commonly referred to as the Olympic Family — including athletes and their families, National Olympic Committees and international sport federations, as well as media and broadcasters.
However, members of the Olympic Family will pay the same price for tickets as the public, VANOC said.
By VANOC's formula, publicly available tickets for the men's hockey gold final, to be held at General Motors Place in downtown Vancouver, will total about 13,000 seats — 70 per cent of the venue's capacity of 18,630 seats.
The cost of tickets ranges from $775 apiece for the best seats to $450 and $350 each for less desirable ones.
Canadian residents will be able to complete and submit applications for tickets on VANOC's website in October 2008.
Non-Canadian residents must purchase tickets through the authorized sales agent for their respective National Olympic Committees.
