A girl missing for nearly a week might have arranged a meeting with an unknown person over the internet, Delta police say.

Dayton Kathleen Hutton, 13, was reported missing on Sept. 24, three days after her mother last saw her daughter at their home in Ladner, police said Thursday.
"There are a lot of people worried about her … if anyone knows where she is just let us know," Tedra York, Dayton's mother, told CBC News Thursday night.
"She does not have any money. The only money she has is the money I gave her — four bucks in change," York said.
Staff at Delta Secondary School where she attends saw Hutton at 1:30 p.m. PT on the day she went missing, police said.
Police worry the girl may have arranged to meet someone via the internet.

"There is some indication she was conversing with someone over the internet," Const. Sharlene Brooks told CBC News.
"Although it is not confirmed, police are not dismissing the possibility that she may have arranged to meet with this individual."
Hutton has run away before but usually returned within a couple of days, police said.
Hutton is white, 5 feet 4 inches tall with short blond hair and hazel eyes, police said. She also has a small scar on the right side of her forehead.
She was last seen wearing blue jeans, white runners and a beige T-shirt.
Hutton and her mother recently moved to the area from New Westminster where they had lived for several years.
