Vancouver police are hoping someone will recognize the handwriting on a disturbing note that was addressed to a 17-year-old girl and attached to her door.
This disturbing note was left at the home of a 17-year-old Vancouver girl.

Police say the girl was followed home from a bus stop near Renfrew and Grandview in East Vancouver, just after midnight on July 29. The next morning she found the note pinned to her front door.
"Essentially, it says: Important. Hello, I am the man who follow you to your house with a hammer,'' said Const. Howard Chow, a spokesman for the Vancouver Police Department.
It goes on to say, "I know you are Asian,'' with the word young in brackets. "My intention is to kidnap you and I know where you live. And I will get you soon."
While it is almost amonth since the note was found, police are bringing it to the public's attention in a bid to facilitate their investigation and locate its author.
Chow said he hopes someone will recognize the handwriting, which has two distinctive features — the way the letter "A'' is written in an unusually fluid style, and the fact that the exclamation marks are dotted using circles.
The girl has not received any further threats, Chow said.
