Driver killed when truck flips off Granville Street Bridge

A truck driver is dead and a passenger was rushed to hospital after a frightening crash on the Granville Street Bridge Thursday night.
A dozen police cars and fire trucks arrive at the scene of the crash before 9 p.m. Thursday.

Vancouver police said a semi-trailer crashed through the bridge's guardrail, flipped upside down and plummeted several metres to West Fourth Avenue.
The passenger suffered non-life-threatening injuries, police said

A dozen police cars and fire trucks were on the scene. The cause of the accident is not known.
The section of the Hemlock Street on-ramp to the bridge has been closed until further notice.
