A 37-year-old man has been charged with second-degree murder in the 2005 death of his wife in Surrey, B.C.
Bradley John Benham was arrested Saturday by homicide officials. Lisa Cubin died Nov. 12, 2005.
RCMP Cpl. Dale Carr said it's not unusual for an arrest to be made almost two years after a homicide.
"Often times, it takes a great deal of time to gather the appropriate evidence," said Carr. "It takes time to have the evidence analyzed and reviewed before the Crown approves charges."
Benham is scheduled to appear in Surrey provincial court Monday.
