Two women were attacked in separate incidents Friday morning, Vancouver police said.

Around 2 a.m. local time, on the 1600 block of East 5th Avenue, a man grabbed a woman and tried to pull her to the ground, police said. She punched the man and ran home to call police.

The suspect has been described as aboriginal and in his early 20s.

Two hours later, and about six blocks from the first incident, a woman was working by a window inside her house when a man reached in and grabbed her breast.

Police said the man had stacked two garbage cans on top of each other and climbed on top of them.

The suspect was described as being in his 20s, and of aboriginal or Hispanic background.

Police aren't certain if the same man was involved in both incidents.
