A 35-year-old man is dead following the latest shooting in Richmond, which comes just a week after a gang gun battle rocked a quiet neighbourhood in the Lower Mainland city.
Police say they got a call early Thursday morning reporting a man had been shot in his vehicle near the intersection of Shell Road and Westminster Highway.
The 35-year-old victim was shot twice while in his pickup truck.

They found the badly wounded man slumped over the wheel of his black pickup truck. He was taken to Vancouver General Hospital where he died. His name has not been released.
RCMP Cpl. Dale Carr of the Lower Mainland's Integrated Homicide Investigation Team said it appears to have been a targeted killing.
But he also said police have not found any connection with last week's shootout, adding the victim was not known to police.
"Our investigators do not believe that there are any links to the Thursday, Jan. 4 shootings right here in Richmond at the Dover Park area. However, we haven't absolutely established that, but we don't believe that it has any links at this time."
In that incident, three men were wounded when up to 150 shots were fired in Dover Park, with some shots hitting nearby apartment building and cars.
