Stay off Vancouver's icy waters, authorities plead

People across the Lower Mainland are being asked to stay off the area's icy water, after a near-deadly incident involving a three-year old in Mission, B.C.

A three-year-old Mission boy remains in hospital after falling through the ice in a backyard pond while playing with his dog.

The incident could have had a more tragic ending, and as Farrah Merali explains, it's prompting municipalities across the Lower Mainland to issue a warning to others to keep off area ponds and lakes.
