Mounties in Surrey, B.C., have arrested a man investigators dubbed the "surgical mask bandit."

Police say the man used a fake gun to hold up a dozen people outside ATM machines in White Rock and Surrey from mid-May to mid-June.

"This individual would disguise his appearance with either a surgical mask or bandana covering the lower half of his face," said RCMP Cpl. Bert Paquet.

"But we were able to get some really good photos of him through surveillance and with good old police work with surveillance and the execution of a search warrant we were able to arrest him without incident and link him to all 12 robberies."

Jensen Pickford, 23, faces 12 counts each of robbery with a weapon, using an imitation firearm and using a disguise with intent.
