Shots fired near a Starbucks store in Yaletown on Tuesday morning got the attention of dozens of Vancouverites who flooded social media with news of the shooting.

As the day wore on, and police acted quickly to catch the suspect, people took to Twitter, Instagram and YouTube to share their shock at the brazen daylight shooting.
