Rapper Kanye West cancels second Vancouver show
A traffic accident that destroyed essential tour equipment is to blame this time
For the second time in less than two weeks, rapper Kanye West has cancelled a concert in Vancouver. The 36-year-old West was supposed to perform at Rogers Arena tonight, 11 days after his Oct. 20th show was postponed.
According to a statement Thursday afternoon from West's record label, Island Def Jam, the cause of the postponement was a traffic accident involving a tour truck. The truck was carrying a custom-made video truss and 60-ft circular LED screen, both of which were damaged "beyond repair."
Kanye West will not compromise on bringing the show, as it was originally envisioned and designed, to his fans- Island Def Jam statement
"Kanye West will not compromise on bringing the show, as it was originally envisioned and designed, to his fans," read the statement.
"The Vancouver, Denver and Minneapolis dates have been postponed. Further details on the affected tour dates will be announced shortly."
