RCMP are asking the driver of a brown or grey older Toyota Corolla to come forward, after a 14-year-old girl was struck at a marked crosswalk in Surrey Friday.

The teen was crossing 140th Street at 75th Avenue just before 5 p.m. yesterday afternoon.

She was taken to hospital with head and leg injuries, but is in good condition.

Police say the suspect vehicle did not stop after striking the girl and was last seen speeding northbound on 140th Street.

Witnesses described the driver as a male and police said the suspect vehicle will have front end damage, from the vehicle parts left at the scene.
