A dramatic video showing a pod of orcas attacking a sea lion just off Hornby Island, B.C., has been uploaded to YouTube.

YouTube user Louis Jobidon says he was kayaking off Hornby Island just after sunset in February of this year when he shot the video.

The video shows a pod of orcas swimming around the limp body of a sea lion, before one killer whale leaps out of the water to grab its prey.

In the comments, Jobidon says the pod had worked on the smaller mammal for an hour.
