Canadian residents are getting one more chance to buy tickets for the 2010 Winter Olympics when 100,000 seats for events in the Vancouver area go on sale Nov. 7.

Some tickets for events in the Whistler area will also go on sale for two days only on Oct. 24, but those tickets will only be sold to local residents living between Squamish and Mount Currie.

That's because all the space on the Olympic bus system that will transport spectators to Whistler is already booked, according to VANOC ticketing vice-president Caley Denton.

Whistler area residents will have to pre-register on the Games ticketing website for the special deal, and the tickets will be specially marked to indicated they are not valid for travel on the Olympic bus network.

VANOC, the Olympic organizing committee, plans to unveil its official ticket reselling website after the final ticket offer in November.
