The report says the university will hold public forums and seek community input over the expansion of electronic surveillance at key points including transit hubs.
As part of the process, the university will develop a policy about privacy considerations. Recommendations to improve safety for students, staff and faculty also include the development of a mobile phone app and more lighting.
The community is invited to provide feedback on the recommendations until Feb. 25, via a form on the report website, entitled Improving Campus Safety.
