Missing B.C. truck driver found dead in Calgary

Calgary police say John Oswell's death is not considered suspicious

The Calgary Police Service has confirmed that a missing B.C. truck driver has been found dead.

John Oswell left Langley, B.C. Thursday morning in a B.C.-registered transport truck, en route to Airdrie, Alta.

He never arrived.

Langley RCMP issued a public plea for information over the weekend.

At 11:30 a.m. MT Sunday morning, Calgary police were called about an unattended Freightliner tractor unit with a B.C. licence plate, parked in a lot in the 2300 block of 50th Ave. SE.

Inside, officers found the body of a man.

His death is not considered suspicious, the police service said.
