Man stabbed to death in Surrey home

One man is dead and another has been arrested following a fatal stabbing in Surrey on Wednesday night.

A 39-year-old man is dead and another 29-year-old man has been arrested following a fatal stabbing in a Surrey basement suite on Wednesday night.

The victim was found by police suffering from multiple stab wounds around 9 p.m. PT in a home at 9362 - 132 Street. He was rushed to hospital but could not be saved.

Police say the incident appears to be a fight between two co-workers inside the suite. The men's identities have not been released, but police said both did not have police records.

The homicide is the second this week in Surrey. Barry McQuarrie, 33, is wanted in connection with the fatal shooting of Gregory Quesnelle, originally from southern Ontario, in the Cloverdale neighbourhood townhome on Monday night.
