Man critical after stabbing in East Vancouver Friday night

The B.C. Ambulance Service said a man who was stabbed near Commercial and Broadway in Vancouver was taken to hospital in critical condition.

The B.C. Ambulance Service said a man who was stabbed near Commercial Drive and Broadway in Vancouver was taken to hospital in critical condition.

Vancouver police Sgt. Randy Fincham said officers found the man with a serious stab wound after responding to a call about a fight outside the Commercial-Broadway SkyTrain Station shortly after 8:30 p.m. PT Friday.

Just after 10 p.m., Fincham issued a statement saying the man's condition was stable.

The Vancouver Police Department also noted the man was not cooperating with police, and the department believes the attack was targeted.

No arrests have been made.
