The Vinh Nguyen, 17, was killed at the Japan House Restaurant
A 28-year-old Vancouver man has been charged with manslaughter in the stabbing death of a 17-year-old boy in a restaurant on Kingsway in August.
Vancouver police say suspect Chien Khac Le was arrested Monday and will remain in custody until his next court appearance.
The teenager, The Vinh Nguyen, died in hospital after being stabbed during an altercation between two groups at the Japan House Restaurant on Kingsway near Slocan Street at around 1 a.m. PT on Aug. 16.
Nguyen was known to police, but a motive for the attack was not initially clear to investigators.
Police said there was no indication that Nguyen was associated to any known or organized gang.
