Climb the Wall stair climb for clean air: 48 stories up for lung health
BC Lung Association says tackling 739 steps at the Sheraton Wall Centre funds vital research
More than 300 people including firefighters and fitness buffs climbed to dizzying heights in Vancouver on Sunday for lung health.
It was the 15th annual Climb the Wall: The Stairclimb for Clean Air, which is a fundraiser for the BC Lung Association.
Participants — including firefighters in full gear — must run or walk up all 48 flights of the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre. The total number of steps is 739.
To participate, each stair climber must raise a minimum of $125 with all proceeds supporting lung research, education, patient support and advocacy programs.

- Over the past 15 years, the event has raised more than $1.5 million.
