More than 300 people including firefighters and fitness buffs climbed to dizzying heights in Vancouver on Sunday for lung health.

It was the 15th annual Climb the Wall: The Stairclimb for Clean Air, which is a fundraiser for the BC Lung Association.

Participants — including firefighters in full gear — must run or walk up all 48 flights of the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre. The total number of steps is 739.

To participate, each stair climber must raise a minimum of $125 with all proceeds supporting lung research, education, patient support and advocacy programs.
