Ever been frustrated by a passerby who walked into your perfect photo shot?

For a lucky few, the Museum of Vancouver partnered with Instagram to to host #EmptyMuseumOfVan on Wednesday.

The exclusive event allowed Vancouver Instagrammers and some media outlets, including CBC, to have unhindered access to the museum before it opened to the general public.

The hashtag #empty and similar art events took off worldwide after an American Instagrammer was given access to New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art after hours.

He posted his stunning photos on the social media platform in 2013.
