Police in Bellingham, WA continue to investigate what caused a hundreds of people to participate in a riot Saturday night near Western Washington University.

Not clear whether riot had a cause or was out-of-control party

Police in Bellingham, WA continue to investigate what caused hundreds of people to participate in a riot Saturday night near Western Washington University.

So far, three people have been arrested and Bellingham Police say the riot involved about 500 people, mostly students.

A video uploaded to YouTube shows the crowd chanting and taunting police.

Police were able to disperse the crowd by midnight.

It's not clear whether there was a specific cause behind the riot or if it was an out-of-control party.
