Metro Vancouver's Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been called in after a body was found in a park in Surrey, B.C.

Sgt. Jennifer Pound confirmed a man's body was found by joggers Wednesday morning in Joe Brown Park, located at 123 Street and New McLellan Road.

"The male has yet to be identified, and although the information we can release is minimal, we can say foul play appears to be a factor in his death," Pound said in a statement released on Wednesday.

"As the victim has not been identified it is unclear what the motive is for this suspected homicide and we are asking anyone with information to call IHIT at 1-877-551-4448," said Pound.
