Highway 1 westbound in Langley has been reopened, but DriveBC is warning motorists to still expect major delays.

The highway was closed for hours Wednesday afternoon after a tanker truck flipped into the ditch.

A second tanker was brought in to pump out the first tanker's contents, according to witness James Cooper who shot video of the scene.

During this time, westbound traffic was able to get around the closure using the off ramp at 232nd Street.

Now the highway has been fully reopened, but DriveBC. is warning motorists to continue to expect major delays in the area.
