B.C. Corrections has issued a warning about 36-year-old Jason Beaudry, a high-risk violent sex offender, who has been released from custody. He said he planned to live in Creston, B.C.
Corrections says Beaudry, who was released last week, has a lengthy and varied criminal history that includes violent sexual offences in which weapons were used.
"He has offended in an opportunistic manner against males, females, strangers and acquaintances," a public notification statement said.
Beaudry was previously released in September of 2012, but was charged again the following year with assault and breach of probation.
He is under a 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. curfew and subject to 13 court-ordered conditions which prohibit him from owning or carrying weapons, being in places that sell alcohol, or consuming alcohol or drugs.
Beaudry is described as an aboriginal male with black hair and hazel eyes, standing 5'11" and weighing 180 lbs.
Anyone who spots Beaudry in violation of any of his conditions should contact the local police.
