Up to 100 mm is forecast to fall over the rest of Vancouver Island, Metro Vancouver, Howe Sound and the Sunshine Coast as a warm subtropical weather system stalls over the area.

The front is also bringing winds of up to 100 km/h to the North, Central and South coasts Tuesday.

The front is forecast to bring a large dump of snow to the Whistler Blackcomb resort Wednesday, but milder temperatures could mean rain for ski hills on Vancouver's North Shore.
