Surrey RCMP are searching for a red Ford F-150 pickup truck that is believed to have been involved in an assault with forcible confinement.

The truck was last seen near the intersection of 123rd Street and 84th Avenue in Surrey Thursday afternoon.

According to police, a person, possibly a man, was heard calling for help from inside the truck.

The truck then stopped, and a passenger in the front got out of the truck and began assaulting a passenger in the rear of the truck.

When the assault ended, the passenger in the rear did not leave the vehicle and the front passenger got back in the vehicle. The truck then drove off, heading east on 84th Avenue.

"We believe someone will recognize this distinctive truck and let police know its whereabouts," said Cpl. Scotty Schumann in a statement.
