Flash flooding in Metro Vancouver from thunderstorm
More than 50 millimetres of rain fell in just a few hours
Heavy rain caused localized flash flooding throughout Metro Vancouver Sunday with some areas getting more than 50 millimetres of rain in just a few hours.
Fire crews were kept busy responding to flooded streets and basements as drainage in several Lower Mainland municipalities including Vancouver, Surrey and Langley quickly backed up.

Local resident Wayne Ross shot this video of a flooded East Vancouver intersection at the corner of East King Edward and Glen Streets.
The Lower Mainland had a similar bout of heavy rainfall just last month that caused rockslides and flooding from Metro Vancouver to Keremos.
