Delta Police have released video footage taken at the intersection of 120th Street and 72nd Avenue in North Delta where an elderly man was run over last Thursday, with the hope of identifying the vehicle in question.

The top left corner of the video shows a pedestrian being struck by a white pickup truck at a clearly marked crosswalk. The truck is an older white Chevy S-10 pickup with aftermarket rims. The driver did not stop after striking the pedestrian.

The 77-year-old man who was struck suffered serious but non life-threatening injuries.

"People driving around, if they can look at the vehicles beside them, parked beside them or on their street — If they recognize this vehicle, call us," said Acting Sergeant Sarah Swallow of the Delta Police.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact the Delta Police at 604-946-4411.
