"Come out cuddle a puppy, have some whiskey, it will be wonderful."
The event at the Croatian Cultural Centre in Vancouver will feature spirits from 27 distilleries, and there will also be exhibitors offering cheese, chocolate and other speciality foods.
One of the exhibitors will be Victoria Distillers, which will be offering their award-winning Left Coast Hemp Vodka.
"When we first started eight years ago there was only three distilleries in BC, and now there's 34," said Peter Hunt, general manager and master distiller of Victoria Distillers.
"Most of those have opened up in the last two years so it's really been an explosion."
