Comox Valley boil water advisory issued
Residents are instructed to boil their drinking water for one minute
A boil water notice has been issued for the Comox Valley on Vancouver Island because of high turbidity in the water.
Users of the regional district's water system are instructed to boil their drinking water for one minute at a rolling boil.
The affected areas include:
- City of Courtenay.
- Town of Comox.
- Comox Valley.
- Arden, Marsden/Camco, Greaves Crescent and England Road water service areas.
The boil water notice does not affect:
- Village of Cumberland.
- Those connected to the Black Creek-Oyster Bay water supply system.
"Due to the intense rainfall experienced over the past week, turbidity levels have risen in both Comox Lake and the Puntledge River." said the advisory, which was issued by the Comox Valley Regional District (CVRD), in conjunction with Island Health.
