Chilliwack workplace incident leaves 1 dead
BC Coroners Office confirms 1 person also injured in the incident
One person is dead and another injured following a workplace accident in Chilliwack, the B.C Coroners Office has confirmed.
BC Ambulance said one air ambulance and four ground ambulances were dispatched to the site near Tamihi Way around 7:50 a.m. PT, and critical care paramedics transported one patient from the site via air.
Coroner Barb McLintock said investigators from WorkSafeBC and the coroners office will investigate.
The RCMP were also on site and speaking to witnesses.
Cpl. Mike Rail said police were in the initial stages of investigation of the construction-related incident and were asking for the help of witnesses.
No other details about the incident have been released by officials.
