Quest Metals in East Vancouver hangs a replica medal for every one Canada wins
When Team Canada wins an Olympic medal at the 2014 Games in Sochi, Quest Metals in East Vancouver does more than cheer loudly.
They cut a massive replica medal with a high-powered laser, and hang it from the roof of their business.
General manager Shawn Boivin says they started the tradition during the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver.
"It just occurred to us that 'medals.' We have a laser. We have the capability. We can do it. So let's start putting up medals as we win them," he says.
