A possible baby abduction attempt at the Lougheed SkyTrain Station this past Sunday has Burnaby RCMP asking for the public's help.

At approximately 4:30 p.m. PT someone called police to report "a suspicious circumstance that may have been an attempted abduction of an 18-month-old baby at Lougheed Town Centre SkyTrain Station." according to an RCMP statement.

No one was injured during the incident and the suspect ran away, police said. 

Police say they would like to speak to witnesses to confirm what happened and identify the suspect.

The suspect is described as a 45­-year-­old male, dark complexion, approximately 160 cm tall and thin build. He was last seen wearing a dark rain jacket with a tear in the back, dark blue jeans and black boots at the corner of Lougheed Highway and Government Street.
