Thousands of B.C. residents joined millions of Americans — many who'd lined up throughout a cold Thursday night — for a frenzy of Black Friday shopping at U.S. malls.

The parking lots were full and the stores were jammed as shoppers indulged in the North American pastime of scooping up real bargains, near bargains and what at least look like bargains.

Joining them in Bellingham was the CBC’s Kirk Williams, who got to ask the question, "Just how many slow cookers does one woman need?"
