Rainfall warnings have ended for Vancouver, but bands of showers and gusty winds will continue tonight behind the storm system, says CBC meteorologist Johanna Wagstaffe.
There were lots of fresh and first snowfalls out there this morning, with Whistler Village reporting 15 cm. While snowfall warnings have ended for B.C.'s South Coast, as the storm crosses southern B.C today, the snow will continue to fall in the Interior. The West Kootenay region is under a snowfall warning for up to 15 cm today. Eventually this system will cross over the Rockies, bringing snow to central Alberta tonight.
On the whole, B.C.'s South Coast will catch a break from the heavy rain through Friday, with just a few showers on tap before another rainmaker moves in for Saturday.
