B.C. Mounties seek man facing hate charges
A Canada-wide warrant has been issued for a Metro Vancouver man facing charges of operating a white supremacist website.
Paul Craig Cobb has dual Canadian and U.S. citizenship and RCMP say he moved to the Vancouver area around August 2009.
The RCMP's hate crime team alleges Cobb operated a website from various locations around Vancouver, promoting hatred based on religion and ethnicity.
Insp. Tim Shields said Cobb was arrested June 17 at the Vancouver Public Library and several search warrants were executed.
But charges were not immediately filed and the 59-year-old was released with a promise to appear at a later date.
Provincial officials approved a charge of willful promotion of hatred on Dec. 30, but Shields said Mounties believe Cobb fled to the U.S. shortly after his June release.
