An Amber Alert has been cancelled for two children from Port Coquitlam, B.C., who were found safely in Sicamous, a community several hours northeast of Metro Vancouver.
Police say they received a report of a parental abduction at 2 p.m. PT in the City of Port Coquitlam.
The alert was issued at approximately 6:30 p.m. PT and cancelled at approximately 9:15 p.m.
The children and their mother, who was the suspect in the case, were found by police in Sicamous, approximately 475 kilometres northeast of Port Coquitlam, at about 9 p.m.
The children will be reunited with family, say RCMP.
The suspect is in custody and charges are pending.
