This afternoon CBC and the Human Library Project gave you the opportunity to speak to Gayle Roberts, a retired Vancouver teacher who spent 27 years teaching as a man — and six years teaching as a woman.

As a young boy, Roberts believed it was shameful to want to be girl, so she grew up thinking her feelings had to be cured.

CBC Vancouver has partnered with the Surrey Public Library on the Human Library Project.

Gayle joined us for a live chat to take your questions on Thursday.

You can also "borrow" Gayle at the Surrey Public Library on Saturday, January 26th between 11 a.m. PT and 3 p.m.
