A night on the town in Langley
From fine dining to celebrity karaoke sightings, Langley has its fair share of nightlife
What is there to do on a Friday night in Langley?
Langley resident and blogger Kristyl Clark admits the suburb isn't known as a nightlife hot spot.
"Soccer moms, minivans, hanging out at the strip mall is definitely the stereotype," she says.
"Ten years ago that probably was the case, but the landscape has changed quite a bit. More families, young couples are migrating out towards the Valley, and it's so much more of a desirable place to live than it was even five, 10 years ago."
To challenge those stereotypes, Clark, and her friend and fellow Langley resident Kristine Carrick, took the CBC's Margaret Gallagher out for a night on the town.
CBC is "In Your Neighbourhood" in Langley on Friday, January 24th. Join us for a live remote broadcast of CBC Radio One's 'The Early Edition' and 'On the Coast' in Burnaby at McBurney's Coffee and Tea House (20504 Fraser Hwy).
