An upper-level high-pressure ridge well-established over B.C. is keeping most of the province sunny Wednesday with temperatures above seasonal for the South Coast, says CBC meteorologist Johanna Wagstaffe.

It's the same story Thursday with just a dash more clouds toward the afternoon. By Friday, the ridge will continue to track east, right out of the province, allowing a low-pressure system to slide in.

It looks as though this next system will bring a slight chance of showers with a mix of sun and clouds for Friday and Saturday, along with a good 5 C drop in temperatures.
