Wondering where to take your kids over Spring Break? Here are some suggestions.
Dinosaur Train at the Railway Heritage Park, Squamish
Dress up your kids in dino pyjamas and hop on board the Dinosaur train! The 20-minute ride begins at the West Coast Railway Heritage Park in Squamish.
"We have everybody climb on a train, and head out away from civilization to find dinosaurs" says Ken Tanner, president and CEO of the West Coast Railway Association.
At the Nature Trackers Adventure Area, inside of the CN Roundhouse, you'll find fossil dig sites, cave-drawing and arts and crafts. Tickets are $27 for full admission. March 20 to 23 and March 27 to 29.
BCAA PlayDome at BC Place
Billed as Western Canada's largest indoor carnival, PlayDome is back at BC Place March 15-23. Over 45 rides and attraction including the Zero Gravity ride, the Ring of Fire, and the Super Shot.
$29 for a full day pass, $6 Guest Pass (required to enter as a spectator) or $49 Ultimate Pass (unlimited multiday Dome Pass). Children under 2 years old are admitted for free, but for safety reasons they are not permitted to ride.
Spring Break at Fort Langley
Give your kids a taste of B.C. heritage at the Fort Langley National Historic Site! Celebrate the two dominant trades in the Fort 100 years ago: farming and fishing. Kids can participate in a "salmon run relay", barrel-rolling, and gold-panning.
