3 burned, motorhome destroyed by fire in Delta, B.C.

Two people are in critical but stable condition in hospital and a woman who was also burned is receiving medical attention after an early morning fire near the Alex Fraser Bridge in Delta, B.C.

Two people are in critical but stable condition in hospital with burns and a woman is receiving medical attention after an early morning fire that destroyed a motorhome in Delta, B.C.

The Delta Police Department said just after 5 p.m. PT Saturday afternoon that it had located the woman, who was considered missing, after conducting a ground and air search that it launched in the morning.

The woman had last been seen near the south end of the Alex Fraser Bridge at around 3 a.m., running from the burning motorhome in the 10200 block of River Road.

"A passing motorist saw the woman fleeing the motorhome and she appeared to have severe burn injuries to her face," Delta police said in a written statement. "At the time, she was wearing pyjama bottoms and a light-coloured tank top."

The Delta Police Department said the investigation into the fire is ongoing.
