Surrey RCMP say at least one police officer has been taken to hospital in serious, but not life-threatening condition, after a motorist struck a parked police car, pushing it into another police car in the Surrey RCMP parking lot.

An RCMP officer, who was on foot between the two cars, was pinned and has been taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say another officer in the car that was first struck also sustained injuries.

RCMP have arrested the motorist, who was not injured.

Anyone who saw the accident is being asked to call Surrey RCMP.
