A 19-year-old man is charged with two counts of attempted homicide and one count of criminal negligence causing bodily harm after he allegedly drove a pickup truck into three people in Port Alberni, B.C.

RCMP say Travis Foord was behind the wheel of the truck when it struck two young men and a young woman early Saturday morning. The truck also crashed into a house causing extensive damage.

Foord had a bail hearing over the telephone on Saturday and has since been released. He is due back in court in Port Alberni on May 2.

Another man who was arrested with Foord was released without being charged.

All three victims remain in hospital, where their conditions remain unchanged.

Two of the victims suffered broken bones in their legs after they were pinned under the truck. They are being treated in Nanaimo.

On Saturday, the woman suffering serious internal injuries was airlifted to Victoria where she remains in serious but stable condition.
