A 16-year-old boy is in custody following two attacks on women in the Oak Street area of Vancouver Sunday night.

According the Sgt. Randy Fincham of the Vancouver Police Department, the first incident happened around 10:15 p.m. PT when a woman walking her dog in the area of Alder Street and West 10th Ave was approached from behind and grabbed by a stranger. The attacker ran off when the woman screamed.

Around 10:30 p.m. PT a second woman walking her dog in the area of Birch Street and West 13th Avenue was also grabbed from behind and groped by a stranger. She also screamed, causing the attacker to run away. 

A bystander followed the attacker and the boy was arrested by the police a short distance away.
