A Langley RCMP manhunt that began when two people were injured in a shooting ended with the arrest of a suspect less than two hours later.

An area in Langley's Walnut Grove was under lockdown Sunday afternoon as police searched for the suspect, who was believed to be armed.

The incident began at around 4 p.m. PT, after calls were received about shots fired at a property in the 8300 block of 216 Street.

Two shooting victims were taken to hospital, and are reported to have non-life threatening injuries.

Video shot during the manhunt shows officers on foot and in vehicles converging around the area of 86A Crescent in a nearby subdivision.

Witnesses told CBC News that by 5:30 p.m. several people appeared to have been taken into custody, but an RCMP spokesman said just before 7 p.m. that just one arrest had been made.
