Details of a horrific home invasion on the Bear River First Nation Reserve on are starting to come to light.
Early on Monday morning Leah Harlow, 65 and her husband Fred were beaten and robbed in their home by two men. The men apparently were initially invited into the home by Mrs. Harlow. They then quickly sprayed the couple with pepper spray.
The suspects then ransacked the house and escaped in the couple's truck. Mrs. Harlow was forced to crawl shackled with leg irons in a blinding snow storm to a neighbor's house to get help. Her sister, Glendean Parker says Harlow is very sore and the trauma will last with her for sometime.
Police have laid 15 charges against two men from out of province who were arrested after a wild chase under stormy conditions
