'Baby Hitler' granted bail
A recruiter for the racist Ku Klux Klan has been granted bail on a charge of failing to show up in an Amherst court earlier this week on assault charges.
In fall 2000, 23-year-old Donna Upson of Toronto allegedly assaulted two prison workers while serving a sentence at Springhill Penitentiary.
She failed to show up in Amherst court on Monday, and police issued an arrest warrant.
Upson was found sleeping behind a Halifax courthouse Tuesday night.
In KKK circles, she has been described as 'Baby Hitler.' She was convicted of threatening a black minister in Dartmouth.
