Irish band U2 has landed on the top of a different chart — the Forbes list of top-earning musicians.

Forbes.com published its annual top 10 roster Friday, with U2 raking in $130 million US from the band's 360 Degrees Tour, endorsement deals and merchandising.

The No. 1 listing is not surprising, considering that Billboard had already placed the rock veterans on top earlier this year for earnings in 2009. The latest Forbes list measures earnings from June 2009 to June 2010.

U2 recently rescheduled this summer's North American dates after the band was forced to cancel some 16 concerts across the U.S. and Canada, including stops in Edmonton, Toronto and Montreal, when frontman Bono suffered a back injury in May. Those concerts have been put over until next spring.

Coming in at No. 2 on the Forbes list were metal musicians AC/DC at $114 million, followed by Beyoncé Knowles at $87 million. Bruce Springsteen and his E Street Band and Britney Spears rounded out the top five.

Last year's richest singer was Madonna, who still made it onto the top 10 this time.

"Nearly half of the artists that make up this year's list of the top-earning music acts have been around long enough that they could have appeared on the soundtrack to Back to the Future," Forbes.com said in reference to the 1985 movie starring Michael J. Fox.
